Satellite Communication Systems, Inc. (SCSI) provides its international, domestic, commercial, and governmental customers dedicated satellite service between North America, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East via the Opa-Locka, Florida, teleport facility. Situated on approximately 5 acres of land, the 5000 square foot communication facility  allows SCSI to have exceptional growth potential. SCSI is authorized by the FCC and currently operates  on PAS-1R, PAS-3, NewSkies803, Satmex5, AMC-4 and AMC-12. SCSI can supply teleport services on other satellite spacecrafts as required. From one location, this provides coverage for over two-thirds of the world.

SCSI offers a variety of shared hub and network services including compressed voice and data networks. Shared network services include using the Opa-Locka teleport as the hub in a star topology. Nodes access the network via the large hub which allows the earth stations to use VSAT technology.

Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) services are also available via the Opa-Locka teleport. The teleport operates as the Master Control Station (MCS) for users accessing the DAMA network. The MCS establishes all calls and provides network management and billing services. The DAMA network provides several advantages over the star network topology including reduced space segment costs, single hop connections and low end-to-end delay.

SCSI teleport services are available in a variety of data rates with various coding schemes and modulation techniques to interoperate with existing networks, or for operation in a closed network environment.
